Add Pizzazz to your Morning with Bacon ‘n Egg Breakfast Pizza

Heading out the door in the morning is an extended process for my family this year. My three kids attend three separate schools. My 9th grader, Colton, scrambles to catch his bus at 6:43. (This is the kid, who, when given the opportunity, would sleep past noon.) My middle schooler, McKenna, sets out at 7:25. My youngest daughter, Ella, enjoys a more leisurely pick-up time of 8:30.

A Little Syrup and a Whole Lotta Love!

With school back in full swing, there’s not a ton of time to cook breakfast in our home. With Jeremy gone by 4am and three girls to manage on my own every morning, I just don’t have enough time for an elaborate breakfast. Sadly, it’s usually cold cereal, toast, or toaster pastries for the girls. For me, it’s oatmeal with whole grain toast and a cup of Joe!

Eggs Perfect for any Occasion

EGGS...You can dress them up or dress them down.  You can eat them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.  They're loaded with protein and are an important part of any diet.  Whether you eat them fried, scrambled, poached, or deviled...it makes no difference.  Eggs are awesome! For our annual camping trip to Lake Michigan (which is right around the corner), we always look for easy, delicious recipes to incorporate into our campfire cookouts.  See, the best part of camping for us is always THE FOOD!

Basil...and the Makings of a Champion

You, my dear Buzz Blog friends, may recall that last summer I tested the Grilled Tomatoes & Basil Pita Bread recipe and fell in LOVE with fresh basil. It has a sweet scent and vibrant taste - there is no substitute for the real thing! So I set out to grow my own basil this summer in order to keep the delicious herb on hand for quick cooking the whole season. Of course, that little packet of seeds turned into more sprouts than I bargained for. So,  I am now on the hunt for other recipes that incorporate basil - before my bumper crop goes wild.

Mini Mexi Bites add a Little Spice to Brunch

Weekends are a great time to wind down and enjoy something out of the ordinary, like Mini Mexi Bites.  It seems that our weekday breakfasts rely too much on toast and cereal and fast scrambled eggs.  A little fun and variety makes sense on a Saturday when we’re not in a rush.  In fact, we often eat later in the morning so we usually make it a brunch.  This recipe is quick, easy, and outrageously good.  And the mini size is fun, too!
