To stay cool by the pool, we suggest you keep it simple with entrée salads! These three delicious recipes are fresh and light, yet very satisfying, too. Make a splash on Friday night with a California Chop Chop Salad, dive into Berry Turkey Salad on Saturday, and paddle into Sunday brunch with a fantastic Apricot Couscous Chicken Salad.

Prepare ahead by pre-chopping vegetables (except the avocado) and meats, and mixing up salad dressings. Store ingredients in separate plastic bags or containers. Wash all your greens and lettuce leaves and spin them dry, then store in the fridge in plastic bags with a paper towel at the bottom to keep them nice and crisp.

When you’re ready to eat, just toss everything together and dress your salad. Serve with bread sticks or some crusty bread with butter. We’re certain your party will be a swimming success.

Best wishes for sunny weather!

Grilling adds delicious flavor to summer's natural bounty, and the simple techniques used in these easy grilled veggie recipes will assure your success as master griller!

A simple stovetop simmer gets Grilled Vegetable Medley off to a quick start. Add asparagus and sliced carrots – seasoned with garden-fresh oregano, garlic, and lemon — to a grill basket and you're ready to grill. Grilled Vegetables with Basil Mayonnaise is easy to make and even easier to clean-up. Wrap farm-stand fresh vegetables in foil packets, and then grill to mouth-watering tenderness. Even perennially popular corn-on-the-cob can be jazzed up. Spread Italian-seasoned butter over individual ears, wrap them in foil, then grill and you’ve got Italian Grilled Corn. You'll enjoy this new twist on a summertime favorite!

Best wishes for a successful grilling season!

What a great way to enjoy a summer day! You are wise to think about having snacks available throughout the party to keep the energy flowing.

Crispy Cinnamon Snack Mix and Crunchy Cheddar Bites are a tasty combination of munchies that will greatly enhance your offerings beyond the usual chips and veggies. After a meal, lay out a tray of Salted Nut Bars for dessert whenever people are ready.

Have a great summer!

Camping with the family is a simple and inexpensive way to enjoy summer! With so many activities like hiking, boating, and swimming, everyone works up a good appetite. The whole family can lend a hand to prepare fresh and delicious food. You can even do some of the chopping and prep work at home, and simply assemble meals on site.

Whether you make BLT Tortillas and warm the tortillas in your microwave, grill cheesy Grilled Chicken Quesadillas, or caramelize sweet fruits over the fire with Carmelized Apricot Bundles, you'll see no need to head for home anytime soon.

Enjoy your time together!

Grill A Better Burger

Grill A Better Burger

Tasty burgers aren’t just made, they are created with love. If you love hamburgers as much as I do, you know what I’m talking about. I have two simple criteria for tasty burgers – great flavor and juiciness. Here are a few of my secrets for making tasty burgers every time.

You're smart to prepare ahead so you can relax yet satisfy your every snacking whim! Plan for something sweet, something savory, or something more substantial, depending on your mood or the time of day.

Right after lunch, a buttery crisp cookie like these Cinnamon Chocolate Chip Rounds is just what you need as you set up a game of cards on the screened porch. In the afternoon, satisfy pre-dinner munchies with a handful of crunchy Sweet & Savory Snack Mix. Or assemble these cool and refreshing Tomato & Avocado Tostadas with Cilantro Cream — make the toppings ahead and pack them along in a small cooler. Then, simply pop out a tray and top your tostada chips right there on the sandy beach.

Enjoy your summer!

What a great shared goal! You're already off to a good start by doing this together. That should simplify meal planning and these easy recipes will add freshness and flavor to your healthy choices without loads of extra calories or fat.

A simple solution for breaking out of your rut is to add low-fat sauces and herbs to jazz up chicken or vegetables. Try chicken breasts with Light & Creamy Dijon Sauce and a citrusy spring vegetable dish like Green Beans A L'Orange.

Two of my favorite side dishes are Lemon-Buttered Baby Vegetables (with a little horseradish kick!) and Seasoned Vegetable Medley. Either is a perfect accompaniment with fish and chicken entrees, and they have enough flavor and zing to not get boring!

All these recipes are made with our new great tasting Land O Lakes® Light Butter with Canola Oil. It offers 60% less cholesterol and 50% less fat and calories per serving than butter.

Best wishes on your joint venture. I hope you're seeing results already!

You're smart to think ahead, and there's nothing better to offer comfort and make the trip fly by than a bevy of tasty snacks. Portion each of these three irresistible snacks into resealable plastic bags so they're easy to hand out as soon as hunger strikes.

Your wiggly toddler — and the rest of your bunch — will love our colorful Gumdrop Hermits, soft spice cookies that are chewy and delicious. For a salty craving, offer up Cheddar Shortbread Bites, a cheesy snack sprinkled with sesame and poppy seeds and baked crisp. Satisfy sweet cravings in an instant with a handful of Golden Glazed Snack Crunch — a fabulous mix of cereal, pretzels, raisins and peanuts with a crunchy sweet glaze.

Add a bag of individually-wrapped Land O Lakes® Snack N' Cheese To Go® Snack Cheese and you're ready for take-off!

Absolutely! If you want something adorable and sweet, shower your guests with Umbrella Butter Cookies. If you’re feeling sentimental, Wedding Bells cookies will ring true. If decadence is your goal, bite-sized Triple Chocolate Truffle Bars offer a perfect marriage of dark, milk and white chocolate.

Or, host the event after lunch-time. Skip the sandwiches and welcome everyone with a dessert buffet featuring all three of these irresistible treats, plus some freshly cut fruit and coffee, tea or punch.
