Camping is such a wonderful way to connect with nature in the summertime. Of course, having delicious treats and special meals only adds to the experience, and can create fond memories for years to come.

Pack a few dozen chewy Gumdrop Hermits — perfect for a cookie break during an afternoon hike, or with a cup of cocoa at the campsite. Carry along some Cowboy Oatmeal Bars and Praline Nut Crunch, and you'll have a variety of hearty, delicious snacks to enjoy wherever the trail takes you.

Have a great camping trip!

We like the way you think! These three desserts are fabulous options that require no oven time, making it easy to keep your cool in the kitchen.

Chocolate-topped Butterscotch Peanut Bars are indulgent treats that require less than 10 minutes on the stovetop before setting up in the fridge. Or blend up a tropical fruit smoothie for an afternoon treat or dessert — add a scoop of sorbet or sherbet for an extra-special float.

For really hot weeks, nothing is better than a no-bake frozen treat like this fabulous ice cream dessert with a cookie crust; a layer of creamy fudge; and a salty pretzel, cashew and caramel topping.

Grilled Peaches? Yes! Enjoy Fresh Peach Recipes.

Warm, sunny days and cooler nights help make Michigan, my home state, one of the top-producing states for delicious peaches. Michigan peaches are mostly grown along the west side of the state where my family has owned a family home for almost 80 years.

It just isn't the Fourth of July without a big family get-together or neighborhood barbecue. It's as much a part of American tradition as fireworks or parades.

Keep the menu exciting and appealing with sizzling Grilled Steak with Tex-Mex Pasta. Packed with flavor, it's a sure-fire winner. Create easy Garden Grilled Kabobs by threading ripe tomatoes, crunchy peppers and other seasonal vegetables on a skewer, and then lightly grill!

For a patriotic dessert, present an effortless yet glorious Grilled Pound Cake topped with strawberries, blueberries, and fresh whipped cream!

Wow, your question really rings true for me! With two boys who have always been involved in sports, I try my best to bring foods along that are satisfying and good for the whole family. At the same time, I know they need to be fun and appealing enough to compete with the ever-available hot dogs and nachos!

Tasty recipes like the portable Summertime Bagelwich, the kid-friendly Pretzelwich, and simple Inside-Out Sandwiches. Don’t forget to bring some fruit as well as your own beverages when you can. Milk and juice needn’t be replaced by pop in the summer.

Have fun, and make sure you save room for an ice cream treat!

Nothing tames the heat better than a crisp salad, cold soup or a frozen treat on a hot July day. These three great recipes are sure to help you keep your cool!

Head to the porch with a glass of lemonade and a refreshing Berry Turkey Salad — turkey, berries and nuts in a soy-ginger vinaigrette atop fresh greens. Add a cup of Crunchy Garden Gazpacho — a colorful soup with crisp veggies. Finish your perfect summer meal with a Giant Ice Cream Sandwich. The neighbors are sure to stop by to help you devour every deliciously chilly bite.

Family reunions are great times to bring a classic family recipe, or to try a brand new recipe that gets everyone talking! Let Grandma bring the favorite potato salad, Uncle John can bring those awesome brownies, and you can thrill them with something new and exciting.

Arrive in style with one of these three great crowd pleasers — a simply wonderful cake with the best butter frosting ever, an addictive pretzel snack mix, or a colorful and unusually tasty layered salad. Don't be surprised if you start a new tradition!

We Are Serious About Good Corn!

Summertime is finally here! And that means that our favorite fruits and veggies are available – fresh, at affordable prices. Farmer’s markets are a great resource, and we are fortunate enough to have our very own in Ryan’s grandparents (Becky’s parents).

When I think of visiting my grandparents in the South, buttermilk fried chicken, barbeque, coleslaw, grits and greens come to mind. But my favorite part of Southern cooking is the desserts!

These three beauties will flatter your table with Southern style. For a truly authentic treat, serve up a rich Dixieland Peanut Pie with festive dollops of whipped cream. A ribbon of blackberry jam makes for a pretty Blackberry Jam Cake. Or raise some eyebrows with Southern Bourbon Brownies – a classic favorite chocolate dessert with a touch of Kentucky’s finest.
