Many of you may recognize me from the Measuring Cup® newsletter or landolakes.com. I’m the Director of the Land O’Lakes Test Kitchens. I’m happy to say I love my job – what could be better then being around delicious food and wonderful people everyday?

I have spent my entire career in the world of food. My favorite activity is baking. Not only is it a stress reliever for me but, I find it to be lots of fun as well.

I began baking as a child standing on a chair next to my mom helping her add ingredients and mix up dough. She was a wonderful teacher who wasn’t afraid to try just about anything. We made homemade-from-scratch breads, cookies, cakes and more. My grandmother also loved to bake and was more than happy to share her special recipes with me.

Good thing I have family and friends that love to eat all of my baked goods. My oldest son, Ryan, is married to my fellow blogger Amanda. His favorite is Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. I am enjoying watching them learn to cook and bake, and am always willing to answer questions. I am especially glad to see that Ryan and Amanda like to share the cooking duties and love to entertain.

My youngest son, Kyle, is a college student. One of his favorites is my Chocolate Chip Banana Mini Loaves – it’s also a favorite of his friends. I have recently ventured into “quantity” cooking as I have become a “second mom” to his roommates and friends. He plays football so I have hosted numerous dinners for large groups of football players – boy can they eat a lot! But, I’m proud to say they never leave my home hungry.
