Q My husband and I are trying to lose weight by eating more fruit, vegetables, and chicken but we're getting in a rut. Do you have any suggestions for low calorie, low fat recipes that are especially tasty?

What a great shared goal! You're already off to a good start by doing this together. That should simplify meal planning and these easy recipes will add freshness and flavor to your healthy choices without loads of extra calories or fat.

A simple solution for breaking out of your rut is to add low-fat sauces and herbs to jazz up chicken or vegetables. Try chicken breasts with Light & Creamy Dijon Sauce and a citrusy spring vegetable dish like Green Beans A L'Orange.

Two of my favorite side dishes are Lemon-Buttered Baby Vegetables (with a little horseradish kick!) and Seasoned Vegetable Medley. Either is a perfect accompaniment with fish and chicken entrees, and they have enough flavor and zing to not get boring!

All these recipes are made with our new great tasting Land O Lakes® Light Butter with Canola Oil. It offers 60% less cholesterol and 50% less fat and calories per serving than butter.
