From Our Families To Yours

A year of Simple Goodness

As members of the Land O’Lakes Co-op, we want the best for our families just like you do. That sentiment is at the heart of everything we do. Our farms keep us busy year-round, producing milk that goes into Land O Lakes® Butter, but not too busy to share a bit of our lives with you.

Spring

A season for cherishing small moments

On the farm, spring makes itself known in many ways. As the rain falls and flowers begin to bloom, we find joy in all the little things the season brings. Even though running a dairy can be a daily grind, we remind ourselves and our kids to step back and appreciate all that we have.

Spring

Summer

A Season For Celebrating Togetherness

It’s fair to say that summer is our favorite season on the farm. The days are longer and warmer and the kids are out of school, which means more time together at work and at play. Meals around the table outside set the stage for reflecting on the highlights of each summer day.

Summer

Autumn

A season for counting blessings

As the season changes, we value family time together even more. Autumn means settling back into the busy routine of school and adjusting our lives to fit in everything that matters. It's a time when being thankful for all we've been given is never far from our hearts and minds.

Autumn

Winter

A Season For Sharing Warmth

Winter brings plenty of reasons to celebrate. The holidays remind us of the importance of family time and shared traditions. The snow puts a hush over things and gives us a chance to appreciate the stark beauty of the farm’s landscape, as well as time together inside.

What
dairy
farming
means
to us

As members of the Land O’Lakes Co-op, we work hard to produce fresh, pure milk. Nothing makes us more proud than knowing it’s made into butter that feeds families all over the nation.

Dairy farming is a way of life. We both grew up doing it and now we’re doing it together with our kids.

Who knew that a little soap and a lot of blue sky could be so pretty?
We’re proud to know that what we do every day helps feed our family and other families, too.
There’s nothing more refreshing than simple, fresh-squeezed lemonade.

Fresh Bread is a Staple on the Farm

From the perfect morning toast to a mainstay on the dinner table, we don’t go long without fresh-baked bread. Try one of our favorite French Toast recipes for spring, like this one:

The girls love helping in the kitchen.
Whether it’s producing the freshest milk or helping with the housework, we take pride in every job, large and small.
Sometimes all you need is another pair of hands.

Who Doesn’t Love Strawberries?

Spring means berries are back and there aren’t many things we love more. Breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert, there’s always room for berries on our table. Try this delicious recipe:

Quality is the highest standard we can achieve in our daily work together.

Our kids learn responsibility at an early age. It’s just part of our daily lives.
When our son says he wants to be a dairy farmer,
my husband’s eyes light up.
The kids always love a meal more when they help make it.

The best night is grilling night

We all love it when Dad comes in after a long day of work to grill for dinner. His favorite is steak. Ours, too. Try this tasty steak recipe for your next summer gathering:

It won’t be long before he’s out of the high chair and onto a tractor.

To Us

Farming for us is all about family. There are places for the kids to run and play and ways for them to learn to work.

No matter what they’re doing, our girls seem to have their own secret sister language.
Plenty of space to run and play. One of many gifts the farm gives us.
On the farm, we enjoy nature as much as we can.

The Apple Doesn’t Fall Far From the Farm

Autumn means apples are at their best, and there’s nothing we enjoy more. They’re a great snack anytime, but everyone gets excited when we bake them into tasty desserts like these bars.

Our kids are always eager to help with the chores, and for that we are grateful.
Fall means the walk to the bus stop can be chilly.
There’s no greater blessing than watching our kids grow up not only as siblings, but as friends.

Frost on the Pumpkin? Must be Soup Season

Nothing warms up chilly autumn evenings like a hearty bowl of soup. We enjoy so many of them all season long, but this pumpkin recipe is a family favorite.

We enjoy winter quite a bit. It’s kind of a time for ourselves. We get to slow down a little bit with the family and do things together.

We rely on the older kids to lead by example. The little ones really look up to them.
There’s something about the winter air. They can play for hours and never get cold or tired.
Our children seem to find pure joy on the farm,
no matter what season.

The Family That Bakes Together Stays Together

Our kids love making and decorating cut-out cookies because they can each put their own, individual touches on them. Bring your family together with this fun-to-bake recipe.

Getting the three of them together is easy. Getting them to keep still long enough for a photo is another story.
There's no shortage of mama's helpers in the kitchen at our house.
Having three sons so close in age is a lot of fun — for them
and for us, too.
