A twist on the traditional chocolate chip cookie using pistachios and white chocolate. These cookies may soon become your family’s favorite.

cup firmly packed brown sugar |

cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened |

cup shortening |

cups all-purpose flour |

teaspoon baking soda |

teaspoon salt |

cups shelled pistachios |

(12-ounce) package white baking chips |
Heat oven to 375°F. Combine brown sugar, sugar, butter and shortening in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed. Reduce speed to low; add flour, baking soda and salt. Beat until well mixed. Stir in pistachios and white baking chips by hand.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until lightly browned.
TIP:
Pistachios have a mild, delicate flavor. Be sure to use the unsalted variety for baking.
