This simple-to-make toasted nut mixture has a hint of cardamom for a special flavor.

cup light corn syrup |

teaspoon cardamom |

cups pecan halves |
| 3/4 |
|
cup blanched whole almonds |
| 1/2 |
|
cup whole hazelnuts or filberts |
Heat oven to 400°F. Melt butter in 15x10x1-inch jelly-roll pan in oven (4 to 5 minutes). Stir in all remaining ingredients.
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until almonds are golden brown. Stir mixture immediately after removing from oven.
