This product is labeled light as it has 50% less fat per serving than butter.
It also has 50% fewer calories and 60% less cholesterol per serving than butter.
Why is Light Butter with Canola Oil lower in cholesterol than butter?
LAND O LAKES® Light Butter with Canola Oil has 60% less cholesterol per serving than regular butter due to its
lower fat level and to the canola oil.
What are the benefits of canola oil?
Canola oil makes this product soft and spreadable. This oil has a very neutral flavor, thus allowing the great taste
of the product to dominate. Canola oil contains low amounts of saturated fat and high amounts of monounsaturated (good)
fats.
Does this product contain trans fats?
As with all of our butter and butter with canola oil products, each serving of this product contains 0 grams trans fats.
Does this product taste good?
Consumers agree that Light Butter with Canola Oil is delicious. Based on consumer input, reduced cholesterol, fat and
calories are the top reasons they would purchase the product but “taste” is the #1 reason they'd buy it again!
Can this product be used for cooking and baking?
As with our other tub products, LAND O LAKES® Light Butter with Canola Oil is intended to be
used primarily for spreading and topping. If used for cooking and baking applications, this lower fat product
will not produce the same results as a higher fat product such as butter.
Is this product salted or unsalted?
This product is salted as are the majority of butter, spreads and margarines.
Where should Light Butter with Canola Oil be stored?
This product should be stored and used directly from the refrigerator. Because it is soft and spreadable right from the
refrigerator you don't have to take it out ahead of time to soften.
Can this product be frozen?
No. Similar to other lower fat tub products it should not be frozen.
How is Light Butter with Canola Oil different from LAND O LAKES® Light Butter Sticks?
LAND O LAKES® Light Butter in a stick form does not have canola oil in it and is therefore a firmer product. It too has the same
great flavor you'd expect from Land O'Lakes, with half the fat and calories per serving of butter.
