Recipe Comments & Reviews

I also use some garlic and a touch of.. believe it or not.. nutmeg.. FABULOUS !!!! I get raves every time and am always asked for the recipe.. I don't always use cream cheese...
I have made this recipe many times. When the family is invited for dinner and they know they are getting mashed potatoes the hue and cry is: "Are you making the special mashed potatoes?"
I have made this recipe it is a great way to make your paotaoes the day before. They reheat great.
I have used a variation of this recipe for years for any time a large group is gathering. Everyone loves them.
I substituted plain yogurt for half the sour cream -- that was a big hit in my family.
This is a great recipe and it can be made the day before-
especially when making a big dinner for Thanksgiving or
Christmas. It can also be cut in half or doubled - or
adjusted to serve as few or many as you want.
Cover and refrigerate and then reheat in oven or microwave.
I haven't tried freezing it, but I will test a small amount when
I make it for Thanksgiving.
