Macaroni and cheese that is as simple to make as 1-2-3 is an all time favorite!
Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain.
Combine cooked macaroni, cheese and half & half in 2-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 6-8 minutes or until cheese is melted.
To serve, spoon macaroni into serving dish; sprinkle with crushed croutons.

This recipe is so easy to make, especially when you get home late from work and don't have time to cook. It is colourful, and with tin corn and carrots this would be a more budget friendly meal that children would love. My 14 year old can make this on her own.
Family members participated in making mac+cheese, when it came to Provolone cheese, they said NO, then when it came to bread crumbs, they asked "why would anybody put this gritty mix on top of a juicy-cheesy mouthwatering dish", so I just made it with American & Cheddar cheese mixed in, they loved that version more. Thanks very much for your ideas.

This recipe was great, but I'm just wondering if I can substitute anything? the cholesterol, sodium, and fat is so high. Is there some other ingredients I can use that will make it taste almost as good? but be healthier???
