Caramelized onions add the perfect touch of sweetness to these mini meat loaves.
Heat oven to 350°F. Line 13x9-inch baking pan with aluminum foil; set aside.
Combine all meat loaf ingredients in bowl; mix well. (Use hands if necessary.) Form mixture into 4 (4x2 1/2x1-inch) loaves in prepared pan.
Melt butter in 10-inch skillet until sizzling; add sliced onion. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 5-7 minutes or until onion is light golden brown.
Combine all sauce ingredients in bowl; mix well. Evenly spread over top of meat loaves. Top each with 1/4 cooked onion. Bake 45-55 minutes or until loaves are no longer pink in center.
*Substitute 20 ounces lean ground beef.

Excellent recipe, very tasty for ground turkey. Definitelly will make again.
Good recipe. I also reduce the amount of mustard & eliminated the brown sugar. At times, I have substituted oatmeal for seasoned bread crumbs to reduce the amount of sodium.
The best for ground turkey. The only thing is the sauce is a bit to sweet for the light flavor of turkey. I use 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon dried mustard. The 2 tsp of mustard "bites" a litte bit hard in the aftertaste department.
Great way to use ground turkey. I put the onion, celery and carrots in my mini-food processor and it was the right consistencey in less than a minute(no hand chopping). I also used a little more catsup in the topping than called for. My family loved this very simple meal.
Made this the other night for dinner and the meatloaf was really tasty. Will definitely be making it again.

As autumn rolls around, I love making apple desserts. I’ve written a couple of times about my hunt for the best apple crisp recipe and how I’m always looking for ways to utilize the crop of apples in our yard. While I do have a couple of stand-by recipes, it’s always nice to try a new spin.
