4 teaspoons chopped shallots**
4 teaspoons chopped fresh chives
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 (3/4-inch thick) sirloin steaks (about 2 pounds)
Chopped fresh chives, if desired

Melt 2 tablespoons butter in 12-inch skillet until sizzling; stir in olive oil. Add steaks; cook over medium-high heat, turning once, until browned (17 to 20 minutes).
To serve, cut steaks into serving size pieces. Cut seasoned butter log into 1/4-inch slices. Place 2 to 3 slices onto center of each steak piece. Garnish with additional chopped fresh chives, if desired.
