Chex® Caramel Corn
This popcorn and cereal mixture is made simple when you use your microwave.

4 1/2 cups Corn or Rice Chex® cereal
4 cups popped (from 3.5-ounce bag) Pop•Secret® microwave popcorn
1/2 cup honey-roasted peanuts, if desired
6 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
4 to 5 drops green food color
Combine cereal, popcorn and peanuts in large microwave-safe bowl. Set aside.
Combine all remaining ingredients
food color in medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute, or until mixture comes to a boil. Stir in food color. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
Continue microwaving on HIGH for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring thoroughly after every minute.
Spread onto waxed paper until cooled; stir occasionally to break up. Store in container with tight-fitting lid.
Heat oven to 250°F. Combine cereal, popcorn and peanuts in large roasting pan. Set aside. Combine all remaining ingredients except food color in 2-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until mixture comes to a boil. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread onto waxed paper until cooled, stirring occasionally to break up. Store in container with tight-fitting lid.
