I haven't made this recipe yet, but there's a discrepancy in the times - at the top it says total time: 2:25 so since prep time is 15 min. I would cook for only 2 hours and 5 min. not 3 and not cook on low for 6-7 hours at all - the chicken is already halfway cooked after the browning.
This sounds like a good one! I will try it this weekend.
I had problems with this recipe..but I substituted what I had on hand.. I used strips of chicken breast instead of drumsticks. The 1/2 cup of liquid to go in the crock pot seemed too scant to me so I added a cup. The chicken dried out too much even tho I checked it and rotated the pieces to be under the liquid while cooking. I stopped it when it seemed done at 3 hours. It was over done.There is not enough sauce for each piece of chicken to have some sauce. I want to try againand add more liquid and produce more sauce. i thought the sauce was a little bitter but my husband loves it. We ate it with brown rice and broccoli. Gee, after 57 years of cooking, how could it be dried out ! Old dogs need to learn new tricks !
