Ingredients

1 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened
2/3 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
2/3 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons red and/or green decorator sugar, if desired

Directions

Combine butter, sugar and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Reduce speed to low; add flour, cornstarch and cocoa. Beat until well mixed. Cover; refrigerate until firm (1 hour).

Heat oven to 350°F. Shape rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 13 minutes or until edges are set. Let stand 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets.

Meanwhile, combine powdered sugar and decorator sugars, if desired, in small bowl. Roll warm cookies in sugar mixture and again when cooled..

TIP: Roll cookies in mixture of powdered sugar and cocoa instead of powdered sugar and decorator sugars.

cookies are totally very dry. fell apart and were very crumbly. not good at all!
We all loved these! They are a lot like a meltaway, but chocolate. mmmm...
This cookie is a Christmas regular and they are wonderful! The cookies are a bit crumbly though.
Tried these awhile ago and remembered that they were a "HIT" with family and friends. I rolled in powdered sugar and cocoa instead of sugars.
The cookies taste very good. Somewhat hard to dip in the powdered sugar when warm. But they are great the second day.
