Caramel popcorn is all dressed up with nuts and drizzled with chocolate in this yummy snack recipe.
Dietary Fiber: 1g
Solve the drizzling problem - melt the chocolate in a glass measuring cup, then just pour/drizzle over the popcorn.
Am I retarded?? I just could't "Drizzle" the chocolate over the popcorn. tried several different ways. the bag way didn't work, cause I melted the bag. The chocolate just "glopped"on the top and looked like....well I won't say.
This recipe is the BOMB!! My family and friends love this stuff like they never had popcorn before. I did however forget to use the shortening and just used really good white and regular chocolate to drizzle over the popcorn and one thing that I found is that you should keep this in the refrig and keep it cold., especially when you put it on the wax paper, you have to put it in the refrig otherwise the chocolate and carmel never sets.
I made this popcorn this past weekend, and had a few problems with the recipe. My pecans burned. I think next time I'll lower the temperature to 225F. I too have problems with the chocolate sticking to my fingers. I solved that problem by putting the popcorn in the refrigerator and that did the trick. I bagged it up for gifts the next day and no sticky mess. Even at room temperature the chocolate didn't soften up. I got many compliments and will give it another try this weekend with the reduced oven temperature and semi sweet chocolate instead of bittersweet.
Does anyone know how long this will keep when stored in the airtight container? For other reviewers who have asked, I've used microwave popcorn and popped my own. I prefer the microwave. Saves time and fluffier popcorn.
I made this and put it in tins for Christmas last year and it was a big hit, so I am trading in making a bunch of candy and doing this again this year. I will omit the nuts and it is important to use GOOD chips, such as ghiardelli. Yummmy!!!
I tried this and it was great!!! My family & friends asked for more, so I made more. We had a fund raiser "bake sale" at work and it was one of the first items to sell out. Everyone is asking for the recipe. It is an easy and very rewarding recipe. Love Land O Lakes butter.
Very good...the key to making the ziploc bag trick work is to get the chips mellted really good to make them like liquid in the bag and make sure to cut the corner really small...and I used freezer bags...worked great
Whats the best popcorn to use?
are you able to freeze this recipe?
It was easy. It tasted great. My family loved it. What else matters???
I just found second page of this recipe and had actually forgotten about it. I'm so glad I found that second page and once again, the recipe. It is to die for! I used milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate. It is highly addictive. Thanks for the excellence!
10 STARS!! Added a bunch of cool stuff like pretzels and M&M's. Easy and awesome!!!!
This was absolutely incredible, and . . . WARNING! It's highly addictive. :-)Like a lot of others, I didn't drizzle the chocolate on, as I was afraid the recipe would be too sticky. It was so good, I can't imagine it being any better if I'd used the chocolate.
Wow!!! Best tasting caramel corn I've ever had. Simple to make if you've had any cooking exeperince at all. I'm more of a "cook" than a baker -- and understand that the measurement accuracy in baking is very important for a correct outcome. This was fun to make, enjoy, and share. It was the 1st time I've made caramel & loved the reaction when adding the soda to the butter mixture -- SWEET (literally and visually!!!) A can't pass up easy recipe!!! Thanks!!!!
I love the taste of this recipe, however, the dark chocolate drizzle doesn't harden, so when you eat it you end up with a hand full of chocolate mess. I guess it's the price I MUST pay for something so yummy. I shall endure. :) Any suggestions on the chocolate would be appreciated.
I just made this again yesterday for a weekend get together. Made it for Christmas, made it for Halloween... I've lost count of how many times I've made this awesome popcorn treat.
I did not drizzle on the chocolate but it was GREAT without it.
This is awesome! Everyone raved about it! Made it and gave it for Christmas gifts!
I just made this today, adding a dash of cinnamon and ginger to the butter right before pouring over the popcorn for a little holiday flavor. I think I could have added more (maybe a teaspoon of each). But the recipe turned out great. It was really very easy to prepare. One thing, though: transfer the corn to wax paper quickly after it's out of the oven or it will start to cool and harden into one big chunk.
Absolutely outstanding! I included some pretzels - my family loves the combination of popcorn, pretzels and nuts. It was so good, I made it for all my holiday gifts this year! Excellent!
This was sooo good! I added dried cranberries and doubled the chocolate drizzle.
This is just awsome. I've been making for years for my dad. He can't live without it! This year I'll be making it for Christmas presents.
Excellent and easy!
Milk chocolate works great too!
This was beyond easy. By far the best caramel corn I have ever had! It was the first time I have ever made caramel corn! I made 3 batches, put them into pretty containers and gave away to unexpected Christmas time "drop - in " visitors. It got rave reviews and requests for the recipe.I sent them to the Land o Lakes web page!!!
I received the caramel corn from one of my bus rider's mother. I loved it and asked her for the recipe. I have made it twice so far and everyone that has had it loves it. So far I have given this recipe to 3 more people.
If I could give this more than 5 stars I would - AWESOME!!!!!!!! This is one of THE best recipes I have found in a long time. However ... I would not recommend melting the chocolate and white chips in a ziploc bag - definitely use the bowl.
I have made 4 batches of this...so far... Everyone LOVES it! I have omitted the nuts...done just peanuts so it's just like Cracker Jack. It's wonderful and super easy.
I get asked to bring this to bake sales all the time. It always sells out. Also great for a hostes gift.
Wonderful! can't stop eating it!Served it at a family gathering, and it went over well with everyone.
Very easy to make and delicious. I did not drizzle with chocolate as I figured it would be too messy. I made about 15 batches of this to give as Christmas gifts. Everyone raves about this!
I made this for relatives when they visited at Thanksgiving. It was easy to make and disappeared very quickly.
Delicious! Far better than anything you can buy. Easy too. Plan to give as gifts.
I have made this for family and friends and they all loved it. I plan on making this every year!
This recipe is a keeper. I've made it twice this month for gifts. It's fantastic.
This is a great recipe! Very easy, very tasty. The only thing I would change is the pecans. Next time I think I will try almonds. Everyone raved about the flavor!

Every year around this time, I start to panic a little. How am I ever going to decide what cookies to bake for the holiday season?! Do I stick with the classics or try something new? How many can we eat at our house (more than I care to admit…but cookies count as part of a balanced breakfast, right?) Without self-restraint, I could probably make a dozen different kinds!
Bring the bold flavors of
ginger and sesame to a
variety of meals.
‘Tis the season to make all things sweet – cookies, cakes, and candies. Yes, even candies – those “sometimes tricky” treats that make the holiday so special. More ...
