Maple Cashew Goodies
A maple filling is coated in milk chocolate and cashews for a sweet treat to satisfy any sweet tooth.

36 mini foil or paper baking cups
1/4 cup marshmallow crème
1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring
1 cup powdered sugar
2 cups real semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
2 tablespoons shortening
3/4 cup coarsely chopped salted cashews
Place baking cups onto large baking sheet or 15x10x1-inch jelly-roll pan; set aside.
Combine marshmallow crème and butter in large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH (100% power), stirring once, until melted (30 to 45 seconds). Stir in maple flavoring until well mixed. Stir in powdered sugar until well mixed. Place mixture onto waxed paper; knead by hand until smooth dough forms.
Shape dough into 36 (about 1/2-inch) balls. Place onto waxed paper.
Combine chocolate chips and shortening in medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH (100% power), stirring occasionally, until melted and smooth (1 1/2 to 2 minutes).
Place 1 ball on small spoon; dip into chocolate mixture. Place coated ball into each paper cup. Repeat with remaining balls.
Stir chopped cashews into remaining chocolate in bowl. Spoon about
1 rounded teaspoon
cashew mixture over each ball, covering entire ball. Let stand until chocolate is set (about 2 hours).
Store between sheets of waxed paper in container with tight-fitting lid at room temperature up to 5 days.
Maple Drop Clusters.
Omit paper cups. Prepare candies as directed. Drop 1 teaspoon
chocolate mixture onto waxed paper; top with maple ball. Spoon
1 tablespoon chocolate mixture over each ball.
When melting chocolate, be sure bowl and spoons are clean and dry.
