Ingredients

2 cups frozen green peas
1/4 cup water
Salt
Pepper

Directions

Place peas in 2-quart saucepan; add water. Cook over high heat until water boils (3 to 4 minutes). Reduce heat to medium. Cover; cook until heated through (2 to 3 minutes). Drain.

Top with Fresh Buttery Taste® Spread. Salt and pepper to taste.

VARIATIONS:
Almond Studded Peas: Cook peas as directed above. Drain. Meanwhile, melt 2 tablespoons Fresh Buttery Taste® Spread in 2-quart saucepan; add 1/4 cup chopped onion. Cook over medium heat until onion is crisply tender (2 to 3 minutes). Add cooked peas, 2 tablespoons sliced almonds and 1/2 teaspoon salt; toss to coat peas. Cook until heated through(1 to 2 minutes). Top with 1 tablespoon Fresh Buttery Taste® Spread.

Herbed Peas: Cook peas as directed above. Drain. Meanwhile, melt 2 tablespoons Fresh Buttery Taste® Spread in 2-quart saucepan; add 1/4 cup chopped onion. Cook over medium heat until onion is crisply tender (2 to 3 minutes). Add cooked peas, 1 tablespoon dried basil leaves and 1/2 teaspoon salt; toss to coat peas. Top with 1 tablespoon Fresh Buttery Taste® Spread.

Dilly Peas: Cook peas as directed above. Drain. Add 3 tablespoons Fresh Buttery Taste® Spread, 1 teaspoon dried dill weed and 1/2 teaspoon salt; toss to coat peas.
