Chewy chocolate blonde brownies with chunks of chocolate, toffee bits and glazed almonds are a perfect indulgent treat.
Heat oven to 375°F. Grease 13x9-inch baking pan; set aside.
Combine brown sugar, butter and sugar in bowl. Beat at medium speed until creamy. Add eggs, corn syrup and vanilla; continue beating, scraping bowl occasionally, until well mixed. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt until well mixed. Stir in chocolate chunk baking chips and 1/2 cup toffee bits.
Spread batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle with almonds and remaining toffee bits, pressing down slightly.
Bake 23-30 minutes or until golden brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely.

this was a super recipe.
Excellent! I have made these several times for famly gatherings - they fight over who gets them first and who gets the last one.
I made these over Valentine's Day weekend. They were a big success. We love blondies - probably even more than brownies, so these were excellent. I used plain sliced almonds since I already had some in the freezer, and it worked out just fine. Maybe even better since the bars and toffee bits are already so sweet. They will definitely be added to my regular baking rotation. Would even try with different flavored chips, etc.
This was an excellent blondie, but very sweet. I would try it next time with regular not glazed almonds.
I didn't put any almonds on top because I didn't have any. The bars were great without them. I also didn't have quite enough toffee chips to cover the entire top but the bars were fine. My teenage daughter told me they were yummy. I will definitely make them again because they are easy to make and taste great.
Deluxe! Dangerously good 'cause you want another one and another one. I didn't even bother with the specialty almonds on top. It doesn't need it!
