This is a delicious recipe; my husband loved it warm with vanilla ice cream. I appreciate the healthier ingredients too.
This was our Christmas Day dessert- I added 1/4 cup of slivered almonds to the topping and used brandy soaked berries instead of apricots. I did not have to twist my father-in-law's arm to give him a morsel more of the crispy topping...Yum!
This recipe is really flexible -- just the thing to help empty the left-over fruit bin. I used apples and a few other fruits left over from shopping at the local farmers market ( peach and plum); I didn't have dried apricots so I threw in a handful of dried cranberries. Then just after I put it in the over I was called away. I turned the oven off and turned it back on again when I came home two hours later. Let it finish browning. My family, especially my husband, has now begged to make it again. This was a super recipe. Do enjoy.
