In these toffee cookies, chocolate-coated toffee is mixed into the dough for a cookie the whole family will love.

I used a bare cookie sheet for 1 batch and parchment paper for the others. Parchment paper made them VERY easy to remove. Tasted great too!!
I've been using this recipe for years and I love it. If you are having trouble with spreading, check your oven temp, be sure and let the cookies sit on the cookie sheet for a few minutes before trying to remove. Also, do not use foil. You will have to scrape your cookie sheet with a stiff spatula between batches. I mix this by hand and use regular cookie sheets. Who needs all those non-stick pans and fancy mixers for this recipe?
this recipe typically produces a flatter cookie, so if you like a cookie thats thicker, add 1/2 cup flour. thats what i do, and then these turn out perfecto
Thank whoever made this recipe this cookie was the bomb....
Loooved this recipe! the cookies came out perfect and I added white chocolate chips, absolutely delicious!!
Would not make this recipe again. Cookies are too thin. I like a cookie that has substance. Either more flour another added egg, or something that won't flatten the cookie.
As a kid, I loved these cookies after eating my lunch in the cafeteria. I would always get a pack of buttercrunch cookies and split it with my grandpa. Now, I can eat them anytime I want and share with my family. Yope, those are memories. Best toffee cookies ever. Of course I put my own twist in it with caramel chips. It gives a more rich and chewy taste.
Great Cookie. My daughter, now 14, continues to make these lovely cookies as a family Christmas favorite.
Excellent. Thank you so much!
They are very good but when making them I had to use Parchment Paper because the cookies stuck to the cookie sheet.
These cookies are quick to make and get better the next day...if they are still around! Definitely making them for the Christmas cookie buffet.
I followed this recipe as directed using my Kitchen Aid 275 watt mixer twice & came out with the same results - excessive spreading and uncooked in the center. The end result was the cookies were very flat and baked together. When the baking time was complete, I could not remove the cookies as they were stuck to the foil & I had to toss them into the trash. I know the first batch I made was over processed & on a higher speed, but the other batch I monitored much closer & reduced the mixer to the lowest setting, but the finished product was the same. I checked my recipe to ensure that I was following it exactly as I printed out the recipe, but this cookie presented the same result. I have never encountered anything such in my baking experience. Would like to know from a response what I was leaving out before I attempt this recipe again. Thank you!
Very, very easy and quick to make! And they taste good too!
these quickly moved to the top of my list with flavor, and being kind of crispy and chewy all at the same time
These cookies are so good the people at my work ask me to make them. They are a hit at home too. I use plain toffee bits and think they are the best. Just make sure you use some parchment paper cause they tend to stick to the cookie sheet.
We made these cookies last year and could not keep them in the house. Our friends and neighbors loved them and kept asking for more. They are so easy to make, and the house smells wonderful while they are baking!
they are easy to make and cannot just eat one

I admit it: I let my kids have chocolate cake for breakfast this week. Some of you are probably shocked and questioning whether I am fit to be a mom. However, I know there are a handful of “my people” who are saying, “See, I knew we could do this!”
