Eggnog Glazed Spritz Cookies

Spritz cookies with a dash of nutmeg, brushed with a sweet rum glaze.

Ingredients

Cookies

1 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened
2/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Glaze

1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon rum extract
1 to 2 tablespoons hot water
Multi-colored decorator candies, if desired

Directions

Heat oven to 375°F. Combine 1 cup butter, sugar, egg and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Reduce speed to low; add flour and nutmeg. Beat until well mixed.



Fit cookie press with template; fill with dough. Press dough 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 6 to 10 minutes or until edges are very lightly browned.



Stir together powdered sugar, 1/4 cup butter, rum extract and enough hot water for desired glazing consistency in small bowl. While still warm brush tops of warm cookies with glaze; sprinkle with candies, if desired.
