Meat Sauce

2 (12-ounce) packages bulk pork sausage
1 medium (1/2 cup) onion, chopped
1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (12-ounce) can tomato paste
2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
1 tablespoon dried basil leaves
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper

2 (12-ounce) cartons (3 cups) small curd cottage cheese
2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
9 uncooked dried lasagna noodles, cooked, drained
10 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Deli Provolone Cheese, cut in half
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Heat oven to 350° F.

Cook sausage and onion in 12-inch skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until sausage is browned. Drain. Add all remaining meat sauce ingredients.

Combine cottage cheese, egg and parsley in bowl. Spread 1 3/4 cups meat mixture into 13x9-inch greased baking pan. Layer with 3 lasagna noodles, 1 cup cottage cheese mixture and 6 pieces provolone cheese. Repeat layers, placing remaining provolone cheese on top layer; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Bake 55-65 minutes or until cheese is lightly browned and lasagna is heated through. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
