This is the closest thing I have found to the frozen custard in my favorite shop! Excellent!
This recipe is almost identical to the one that my Grandmother made when I was a little kid. I am now 80 and remember the delight is that first taste. Since the ice cream maker was the old crank kind, I was delegated to sit on top of it to 'hold it down', even though I probably didn't weight 50 pounds. Ah, memories!
This is good stuff would like to try it my elderly mother tell me of an old wooden icecream maker
Fabulous old time flavor!! Absolutely love this recipe. Especially with fresh eggs!
I've made Ice Cream using this recipe 4 times now and each time it taste better than before. You have to cook the ingredients just right or it will be grainy.
