Grilled Salmon with Tarragon Butter

Ingredients

1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened

1 tablespoon chopped fresh tarragon leaves  

1 teaspoon lemon juice

4 (1-inch thick) salmon steaks

 *Substitute 1 teaspoon dried tarragon leaves.

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat one side of gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white. Place coals to one side in charcoal grill. Make aluminum foil drip pan; place opposite heat.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine all ingredients except salmon in bowl. Reserve half of mixture; set aside.

  3. STEP 3

    Spread remaining butter mixture onto both sides of each salmon steak.

  4. STEP 4

    Place salmon onto grill over drip pan. Grill, turning once, 10-12 minutes or until salmon flakes with fork. Serve salmon with reserved butter mixture.

Tip #1

Variations: Substitute either of the following butters for tarragon butter.

Lemon-Chive Butter: Stir together 1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened, 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives, 2 teaspoons chopped fresh chives, 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest and 4 to 6 drops hot pepper sauce in bowl.

Garlic-Parsley Butter: Stir together 1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened, 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley and 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt in bowl.
