Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins
Banana chocolate chip muffins are hearty, flavorful, and sure to satisfy kids as an after school treat.

3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3 medium (1 1/2 cups) ripe bananas, mashed
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup mini semi-sweet real chocolate chips
Heat oven to 350°F. Combine brown sugar and butter in large mixer bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture is creamy. Add bananas, eggs and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed.
Combine flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl. Stir flour mixture into banana mixture just until moistened. Gently stir in chocolate chips.
Spoon batter into paper-lined or greased muffin pans. Bake 18-25 minutes or until light golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes; remove from pans.
