Banana chocolate chip muffins are hearty, flavorful, and sure to satisfy kids as an after school treat.
Heat oven to 350°F. Combine brown sugar and butter in large mixer bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture is creamy. Add bananas, eggs and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed.
Combine flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl. Stir flour mixture into banana mixture just until moistened. Gently stir in chocolate chips.
Spoon batter into paper-lined or greased muffin pans. Bake 18-25 minutes or until light golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes; remove from pans.

I made these for my daughter's breakfast...I don't even like bananas, but I think they are excellent. They domed nicely and are very moist.
I just replaced the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour and they came out delicious. Everyone who has tasted these are suprised how good they taste when I tell them the ingredients.
I make this recipe weekly. Perfect for kids school lunches. Gets gobbled up every time!

These muffins were great! I made no changes to the recipe. They were a hit with my boys and will be a keeper for my files.
Got up at 7am and made these for a quick and easy breakfast. Deliciously awesome is all I can say. The cooking time was a wee bit shorter for me at about 12-15 minutes. Overall though, a healthy and hearty breakfast. Thanks Land of Lakes!
This was a very easy recipe. They were the best muffins i have baked thus far. I would recommend this recipe to everyone! Delicious!
This recipe is quick and easy enough to make before going in to the office. It is a favorite of mine and has been used countless time. The chocolate is perfect with the bananas, and sometimes I add chopped nuts to the recipe to give them some extra crunch.
I've made this many times. It's handy to freeze really ripe bananas to thaw and mash when you need them. I make them in mini bundt silicone pans, remove them while they're warm, and drop exactly 5 milk chocolate chips in the hole in the top. As soon as I've filled them I go back to the first one and spread the now melted chocolate using a toothpick. Everyone loves that little surprise.
