Before grilling the chicken breasts, marinate them for flavor and moistness. Once grilled, serve with your favorite southwestern toppings.
Combine all marinade ingredients in large resealable plastic food bag; add chicken. Tightly seal bag; turn bag several times to coat chicken well. Place bag in 13x9-inch pan. Refrigerate, turning occasionally, 30 minutes.
Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.
Remove chicken from marinade; drain.
Place chicken onto grill. Grill chicken 12 minutes; turn. Continue grilling 4-6 minutes or until internal temperature of chicken reaches at least 165°F and juices run clear when pierced with fork.
Top each chicken breast with
2 half slices
cheese. Continue grilling 1-2 minutes or until cheese begins to melt. Serve with warm salsa and avocado slices.
