Gouda Vegetable Spread

Gouda cheese and chopped vegetables flavor this unique spread served in its own shell.

Ingredients

1 (7-ounce) Gouda cheese round
1 cup sour cream
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup shredded carrot
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
2 tablespoons finely chopped red pepper
Crackers

Directions

Cut thin slice wax from top of Gouda. Carefully scoop out cheese, leaving wax shell intact. Chop cheese into small (about 1/4-inch) pieces.

Stir together sour cream, garlic powder, mustard and Worcestershire sauce in medium bowl. Stir in cheese pieces, carrot, celery and red pepper.

Cover; refrigerate at least 2 hours to blend flavors.

To serve, fill wax shell with spread; refill as needed. Serve with crackers.
