Cranberry orange relish with the crunch of pecans is a traditional favorite, and the perfect accompaniment to turkey.
Peel orange; reserve fruit for other use. Cut peel into 1-inch pieces. Place peel into food processor bowl fitted with metal blade. Cover; process on high 15 seconds or until peel is finely ground. Add half of cranberries; process slightly. Add remaining cranberries; process until coarsely chopped.
Place cranberry mixture in bowl; stir in sugar, pecans and ginger. Cover; refrigerate at least 2 hours or until flavors are blended.

this recipe has a very fresh taste. and is quick to make. I didn't have candied ginger, so I substituted 1/2 teaspoon of fresh ginger juice put medallions of ginger in my garlic press and squeezed the juice out of the ginger everyone loved it, asking for the recipe. this will become a staple with roast chicken or turkey, or even on the side with a turkey club sandwich.
I made this for our Thanksgiving Dinner, got many good comments on the relish. It is not a very sweet relish, but it was well like by grandma, that was the main test!
Really good. Very sweet but wasn't what I was looking for or expecting. Guests loved it.
This recipe is absolutely delicious. I served it to my family and plan to serve it sgain to guests on Thanksgiving.
