Cheesy Ham 'n Corn Chowder

Ham and corn chowder with extra cheese that's easy to make.

Ingredients

1 medium (1/2 cup) onion, coarsely chopped
1 small (1/2 cup) green bell pepper, chopped
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 (14-ounce) can chicken broth
4 small new red potatoes, each cut into 6 wedges
1/2 teaspoon dried sage leaves, crushed
1/4 teaspoon pepper
10 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Deli American, quartered
8 ounces (1 cup) cooked ham, chopped
1 (10-ounce) package frozen whole kernel corn

Directions

Melt butter in 3-quart saucepan until sizzling; stir in onion and green pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 3-4 minutes or until tender.

Stir in flour until smooth and bubbly. Stir in chicken broth, potatoes, sage and pepper. Cover; continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 15-20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

Add all remaining ingredients. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 8-10 minutes or until heated through.

I used a half of a bag of frozen peppers which made the soup perfect for Christmas. Not only is the soup pretty to look at, but it's also filling.
My wife and kids loved it. I mean really loved it! Tough to get everyone enjoying the same meal (kids are such picky eaters) but this was a hit. Definitely try it, you won't be disappointed.
