I love this recipe !!! It's very easy and makes alot Just don't over bake
My grandsons and I made these last year, and they've asked to make them again this year. One of the boys didn't care for gingerbread, but he was willing to give it a try. They were a huge hit. I had to make more for Christmas because these were gone almost immediately. They were easy to make and fun to cut out. Not as dense as a regular gingerbread , but nice texture. This is a recipe that is permanently added to the family favorites. Hint...use a coarse or decorator sugar as the directions indicate, not regular sugar. Much more effective.
This was way too dry, even when I added water a tablespoon at a time up to 10 Tbsp. I'm cooking at over 6000 feet so some extra water needs to be added anyway but did they misprint this and forget the water?
These were good but not great. Heated and topped with Vanilla ice-cream and jimmies, they work really well.
