Orange Glazed Chicken Recipe

Glazed Chicken & Orange Salsa

The simple fresh citrus salsa complements the grilled chicken in this easy dish.

2 medium (1 cup) seedless oranges, segmented, membrane removed, chopped
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons sliced green onions
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley


6 (4-ounce) boneless skinless chicken breast halves
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper


1 cup orange juice
3 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter
1 tablespoon cornstarch


Combine all salsa ingredients in small bowl. Cover; refrigerate until serving time.

Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white. Sprinkle chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

Combine all glaze ingredients in 1-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, 5-7 minutes or until mixture thickens and comes to a full boil.

Place chicken on grill; brush with glaze. Grill, turning once and brushing with glaze, 12-15 minutes or until internal temperature of chicken reaches at least 165°F and chicken is no longer pink. Cook any remaining glaze over medium heat 5-7 minutes or until glaze comes to a full boil. Serve glaze with chicken and orange salsa.

My husband, a notorious picky eater, declared this a keeper! Quick, easy and delicious. The orange and scallion flavors make it a perfect summer dish. I did the same as Robin and used drained mandarin oranges, much easier than segmenting and chopping a whole orange.
made it for a graduation party, very quick and easy to have ready to cook at the last minute, everyone raved about it
This easy recipe produces what looks and tastes like a restaurant dish. I used a large can of mandarin oranges and the drained juice from them. The citrus and green onion combination gives the chicken a fresh, light taste. Wonderful dinner!
