Sweet & Sour Chicken

This Oriental stir-fry chicken meal is high in protein and low in calories.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter
4 (4-ounce) boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic
1/4 cup water
1 (16-ounce) package fresh Oriental stir-fry vegetables (broccoli, carrot, cauliflower, onion, pea pods, green bell pepper and red bell pepper)
1/2 cup thick sweet and sour sauce
1 (8-ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained
Hot cooked rice*

Directions

Melt butter in 12-inch skillet until sizzling; add chicken pieces and garlic. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 7-10 minutes or until chicken is lightly browned.

Add water and stir-fry vegetables. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, 7-10 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink and vegetables are crisply tender. Stir in sweet and sour sauce and pineapple. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 1-2 minutes or until heated through. Serve over rice.

*Substitute dried thin Oriental noodles or angel hair pasta, cooked, drained.

I was searching for Ree's sweet and sour chicken recipe that was a ad for your companies half butter sales pitch. Looks awesome but on this site there seems to be some mistakes. Ree use a apricot jam with ginger and i think sugar?? Not a sauce in a bottle. And she did not use
2 tbs but a half a stick of Butter because that is what the commercial was all about . Selling your half sticks of butter . I only buy your butter and i am i long time fan of Rees blog and cookbooks . Please correct this recipe on your site

sticks of butter< it is written out wrong on this website . Plus she mad her own sauce with the apricot jam . So if u are going to have great Food Network stars in your commercial then please match the recipe with the commercial
Looks awesome but not the commercial that was on when the food network showed the final of The great food truck race she use apricot jam with ginger need the right recipe please thanks love Ree but this website did not copy it has was shown

This recipe is not the recipe shown on the Food Truck Race program. Will check and see if we can get it.

This is a delicious recipe! I added water chestnuts, lime, and ginger to bring out even more of the Asian flavor. This is very easy and quick to prepare.
This is an easy recipe. I found out that i need to double it for i didn't make enough. this was really good. thanks Bonnie
