Chunks of sweet potatoes and tart apples are baked together with a touch of honey and red pepper in this special side dish - the perfect complement to a Thanksgiving turkey!
Heat oven to 375°F. Melt butter in 13x9-inch baking pan in oven. Stir in all remaining ingredients except sweet potatoes, apples and pecans. Place sweet potatoes in butter mixture; toss to coat. Cover; bake 25-35 minutes or until fork tender.
Stir in apples and pecans. Continue baking, uncovered, stirring once, 15-20 minutes or until apples are tender. Just before serving, sprinkle with chopped parsley, if desired.

This has been my favorite yam dish for quite a few years. I noticed that it's been changed since I first got it. I still use 3 small Granny Smith apples and the rind and all of the juice from one orange.
Delicious for Thanksgiving very tasty and I love the colors great to have with turkey or chicken.

I fixed this for Thanksgiving. It was colorful, easy to prepare, and had a good tangy taste. I plan to add it to my regular list of side dishes.
