Peanut butter bars that are simple to make—and so delicious to eat.
Heat oven to 375°F.
Combine oats, flour, brown sugar, baking soda and salt in bowl; stir until well mixed. Stir in melted butter until moistened.
Reserve 1 1/2 cups crumb mixture; press remaining mixture into greased 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake 12 minutes.
Combine sweetened condensed milk and peanut butter in bowl; stir until well mixed. Carefully spread over hot, partially baked crust within 1/4 inch from edge.
Combine reserved crumb mixture and candy-coated pieces in another bowl; sprinkle over sweetened condensed milk mixture, pressing down lightly. Bake 18- 22 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely.

easy to make, Hubby's new favorite, I also used the m&m baking bits.
super delicious but i used the dark brown sugar gave it a great carmel taste . good with milk chocolate chips and cut-up reese peanut butter cup s .
Made these for my son's teenage weekend sleepover. Had 11 teenage boys google all of them up in 10 minutes flat. They were the hit of the night!! The next morning after listening to half an hour of begging, I went to the market and bought enough ingredients to make 3 more batches for the VERY hungry teenagers staying at our house. When the sleep over was done, I had Moms calling me for the 'recipe. A HUGE HIT!!!
Didn't and wouldn't change a thing... delicious!!
I have been baking these bars for almost 30 years. Instead of putting the candies in the reserved oatmeal mix, I use peanut candies, put them on the baked crust, pour the cond. milk and peanut butter mix over them, then put the reserved oatmeal mix over that. I found the recipe in the Oct. 6, 1981 edition of the Syracuse New York, Post Standard. Everyone I make them for loves them, can't make them enough.
This one give your your "peanut butter fix"! Super easy. I used the mini M&M's which worked great.
I love this recipe! Ít´s delicious and very easy to make. Everyone loved it.! I would not change a bit of this recipe.
TOTALLY AWESOME.......and easy too!!
