I have made this recipe several times, with or without the cheese. It is excellent!I have also been able to make substitutions for the milk and baking powder for my daughter who is allergic to corn and dairy. I've also played around with different herbs and different amounts. These biscuits always come out so well. Our family loves the crispy buttery edges of these biscuits! I make these every time I make split pea soup, but could easily just make them any time and eat them on their own!
