Here’s a great make-ahead recipe for your next brunch. The aroma of bacon, apples and cinnamon will fill the air as it bakes.
Spray 13x9-inch glass baking dish with no-stick cooking spray; set aside.
Cook bacon in 10-inch skillet over medium heat 6-8 minutes or until browned; drain well. Place into resealable plastic food bag; refrigerate.
Cut 3-inch slit in side of each bread slice, cutting almost through. Place 1/2 slice cheese and 2 apple slices into each slit. Place bread slices into prepared dish, cut-side down.
Combine milk, brown sugar, eggs and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in bowl; beat at medium speed until well mixed. Pour mixture over bread. Combine sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon in bowl; sprinkle over top. Drizzle with melted butter. Cover tightly with plastic food wrap; refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
Heat oven to 350°F. Uncover; top with bacon pieces. Bake 45-50 minutes or until puffed and set. Serve warm with maple syrup.

Absolutely wonderful! I served this for a church choir breakfast and many people asked for the recipe. It's a keeper!
Not sure I would like the cheese but the rest sounds so scrumptious! I have all the ingredients too!

As autumn rolls around, I love making apple desserts. I’ve written a couple of times about my hunt for the best apple crisp recipe and how I’m always looking for ways to utilize the crop of apples in our yard. While I do have a couple of stand-by recipes, it’s always nice to try a new spin.
