Old-fashioned molasses cookies that will remind you of Grandma's gingerbread cookies.

This was good. I cut back on the spices and omitted the cloves completely. I also put in 1 cup of molasses to give it a really strong molasses taste. The cookies came out great!!!
i just made this recipe and would rate it *****. very light, nice texture. However, like so manypeople - I am trying to duplicate the recipe for molasses cookies that my grand mothermade on the farm when I was little. Her cookies were almost 'tough' -- you could take the edge of the cookie and bend it,and it would not break off -- more like a ginger snap but not as dry. What I rememberthe most was that you would take a bite of the cookie and hold it in your mouth andactually suck the molasses out, sort of strain it thru the cookie.any suggestions??
This made a very nice treat for my friends at work. Some have never had a molasses cookie and they loved it! Would make it again in a heartbeat.
Wonderful. A standard cookies for the holidays. Moist, flavorful, delicious, classic.
Thank you for this recipe. My husband that had never eaten molasses cookies, ate 3/4 of them. He said that they were Awesome. Thanks again.
These cookies are so easy to make and delicious. Every time I make them they are gone in two days!
This is one recipe that I will make again...wonderful old fashioned cookie
