Sweet grilled pineapple pairs nicely with the salty sweet of the teriyaki pork in this updated cheeseburger recipe.
Combine mayonnaise and 1 teaspoon teriyaki sauce in bowl; mix well. Set aside.
Heat gas grill to medium-high or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.
Combine all burger ingredients in bowl; mix well. Shape mixture into 4 patties.
Place patties onto grill. Grill, turning once, 10-12 minutes or until internal temperature reaches at least 160°F. and meat is no longer pink in center. Top each burger with 2 slices cheese; continue grilling 1-2 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Place pineapple slices onto grill. Grill, turning once, until heated through. Remove from grill; set aside.
Place buns, cut-sides down, onto grill, if desired. Grill 1-2 minutes or until toasted.
Assemble burgers by placing 1 lettuce leaf onto bottom-side of each bun. Top each with 1 burger and 1 grilled pineapple slice. Spread cut-side of top half of buns with 1 tablespoon mayonnaise mixture. Place over pineapple, spread-side down. Serve immediately.
Dietary Fiber: 2g
Really super easy and quite tasty. I used Monterrey Jack as the cheese.
