1/2 cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon poppy seed
2 ripe pears, cored, cubed
1 large red crisp apple, cored, cubed
1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries
1 (5- to 6-ounce) package spring salad greens
Combine mayonnaise, sugar, half & half, vinegar and poppy seed in large bowl; beat with wire whisk until well mixed. Add pears, apple, cranberries and cheese; toss to coat.
Line large platter with salad greens. Top with fruit mixture.
- You can use your favorite salad mix for this recipe.
- Purchase pears for this salad several days ahead of time. They usually need a few days to completely ripen. To ripen pears, place them on the counter in a paper bag.
