This delicious appetizer for a crowd is certain to be the highlight of game night!
Heat oven to 350°F. Place two (24-inch) pieces aluminum foil, crossing one over the other, on flat surface.
Cut bread, using serrated knife, in grid pattern, spacing about 1-inch between rows. Do not cut through bottom crust. Set aside.
Combine melted butter and ranch dressing in medium bowl. Add all remaining ingredients except parsley; mix well.
Place loaf in center of aluminum foil pieces. Spoon cheese mixture into cut areas of bread. Wrap foil loosely around bread. Place onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 30 minutes. Pull back foil; continue baking 5-10 minutes or until loaf is golden brown and cheese is melted. Sprinkle with parsley, if desired.
Serve immediately. Pull out individual bread pieces, using tongs or 2 forks and reaching down into loaf to include filling and bread.

Everyone loved this party loaf. We love spicy and it is very easy to make.
I was just thinking, why not use smaller loaves? This way each person will have their own loaf and you wont have to worry about every touching your food. Just an idea
I made this last night using indivdual cibetta rolls. It turned out amazing! Guests couldn't get enough!!! And not at all messy. Will definitely be making it again as will several guests in attendance.

I had this at the Superbowl Party I went to and it was AMAZING! You can pull the pieces out with your fingers or just use a fork...it's not that messy. The new comfort food!
I used rolls to make individual portions of this; worked fine and easier for each person to pull apart and reduce the mess. There are so many possible variations of this, can work for almost anyone.

I made both a sourdough and italian loaf version of this recipe. I love the filling, but found the presentation difficult. Since the bread is not cut through, it was hard to get the pieces out. The pieces broke apart where the filling was. I would instead make the filling (yum), and serve it with the bread pulled into small pieces. We also had an artichoke dip served from a crock pot. That might be an alternative way to serve this.
Got a garlic loaf and used pepperoni instaed of bacon and no peppers. Came out great! A winner for Super Bowl Sunday!
During flu season, why not provide a knife and have guests cut off sections to individually pull apart?Why is it necessary to sign in and enter the special words each time a recipe is requested ? It is not vital information one is requesting?
I just tried and it was so good!! The only problem was that the bread was too hard to crunch. My husband loved it except the bread's hardness (?) and he suggested to make it again with softer bread. So I think I'll head to a grocery for Hawaiian King Bread.Thank you for the fabulous recipe.
I haven't made this recipe yet... just saved it and plan to for our next gathering...the comment about having individual servings of this recipe.. in some stores they sell small loaves of this type bread.. you could consider using that... I think with the use of a set of tongs is pretty sanitary... Thank you for the great recipe... I love it...
so do you pre melt the cheese mix in with butter and pour into the crevices?
To ther person whom commented about Flu and Cold seanson, what about putting them in cupcake tins and serving individual ones.
Broccoli + cheddar + bacon + a little curry powder. Yum!
I have made a garlic bread variation of this, using parmasean cheese and garlic butter instead of bacon and American cheese. It came out great and my guests had fun pulling the pieces out. Even the bottom crust was eaten. My ice bucket tongs were just the right size to pull the pieces. I'll try it this way next opportunity - but without the jalapeno.
Joanna, Next to the photo this recipe is described to serve 12 as an appetizer. Any party spread shoud be a collection of dishes that overall, offers a balanced diet. Our friends know that I'm a vegetable farmer. We will always set out at least one tossed salad and plenty of veggies. But we also know and accept that most of our party guests will tend to focus their snacking on "Meats and Sweets". For this Party Loaf recipe a 16 to 18 ounce loaf of bread, 1/2 Cup of bacon and 10 ounces of cheese are the main ingredients. I'm no nutritonist, but divided by 10 or 12 snackers this Party Loaf is a festive substitute for a typical pizza and offers somewhat better nutritional values.
I have a question regarding how much 1 serving is - there isn't anything I can see that says how many ounces, portion - 1/4 of a loaf? or that the recipe make 6 or 8 portions - there's a lot of sodium, especially if the recipe serves 10.
Just a personal comment, not meant to be a review. In this season of Flu and Colds, I don't like to serve food that others are touching, very unsanitary. I'd rather like to make individual servings. A good idea, maybe make small ones with dinner rolls or something. Hmm, just thought of that,lol. I might try it.

Tried this before super bowl and we loved it. It will be part of our party spread. I will put the recipe on cards for all who what to make it. I sure there will be many takers
We used ham and cheddar with red peppers ~ Delish!!!
I plan on making this but have a question. When you pull the top of each section of bread won't it break off just at the top of the piece. In other words will the piece of bread come out from the bottom to the top or just the top. This sounds crazy but I can't think of any other way to explain.
after you warm this in the oven, do you slice it to serve or pull it apart
