The silky smooth butter sauce is perfect for ice cream, cakes and desserts. You'll be tempted to eat it by the spoonful.
Combine all ingredients except whipping cream in 3-quart heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture comes to a full boil (15 to 20 minutes). Stir in whipping cream; continue cooking 1 minute. Cool 5 minutes. Pour mixture into 5 (8-ounce) jars. Cool 15 minutes; cover. Store refrigerated.
To serve, remove cover. Microwave on HIGH, stirring every 30 seconds, until warm (30 to 60 seconds).

So quick, so easy! Yummy on ice cream, apples, pies, angel cake, bread pudding, etc. Brought it to family reunion and now everyone is making it for Christmas gifts in 12 oz jelly glasses ~ just takes a bow. It does separate in the fridge but warm it and stir ~ no problem.
I served this on a whipping cream pound cake and got rave reviews. The cake may be one of your recipes as well. I have also given the sauce as gifts. Really terrific!
Makes a wonderful dipping sauce for fresh apple slices.
