Ginger Garlic Flank Steak with Noodles

A fresh, simple steak and noodles with an Asian flair that the whole family will love.

Ingredients

1 1/2 teaspoons freshly grated gingerroot*
1 pound flank steak
2 packages ramen noodles, discard flavor packets
2 cups broccoli slaw
1/2 cup shelled edamame
1 small (1/2 cup) onion, chopped
1 tablespoon soy sauce

Directions

Melt 2 Sauté Express® squares in 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-low heat just until bubbles begin to form. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh gingerroot.

Place flank steak into skillet. Cook, turning once, 12-15 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 145°F (medium) or desired doneness. Remove from pan. Set aside.

Prepare ramen noodles according to package directions, without flavor packet. Drain; keep warm.

Melt remaining Sauté Express® square in same skillet.

Add remaining 1 teaspoon grated fresh gingerroot, broccoli slaw, edamame, onion and soy sauce. Cook, stirring occasionally, 4-5 minutes or until vegetables are crisply tender.

Place cooked noodles into skillet; toss until well coated and heated through. Place noodle mixture onto serving plate.

Cut steak across grain into thin slices. Place steak over noodle mixture.

 

*Substitute 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger.

Recipe Tip

- Pureed fresh ginger is available in tubes in the produce section of the supermarket.

- Since you aren't using the seasoning packet, any flavor of ramen noodles will work for this recipe.

- Look for broccoli slaw in bags in the refrigerator case of the produce department.

-Shelled edamame or soybeans are also sometimes called Mukimame. Look for them in the freezer section of the supermarket.
