Sweet & savory combine for an unforgettable breakfast sandwich.
Heat oven to 400°F.
Place waffles onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 5-7 minutes or until crisp and golden brown. Remove from oven; spread 1 tablespoon jam onto each waffle. Top each with 1 slice cheese.
Bake 4-5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Press 2 waffles, cheese-sides together, for each sandwich.

Believe it or not, the flavor combination is fabulous. I made one for my son and he graciously allowed me a bite and it's VERY tasty. What a great idea! This recipe also opened up a whole slew of new ideas. My son loves PB&J Wafflewich's as well as bacon and cheese. One of my favorite snacks, years ago, was to put a fried egg between two waffles and it never occurred to me to make my son waffle sandwiches as well. Thanks!
