Firecracker Fudge Cookies
These chocolate cookies are simply rolled in powdered sugar before baking for an easy topping.

3 dozen cookies
1 (12-ounce) package (2 cups) real semi-sweet chocolate chips (We recommend NESTLE® TOLL HOUSE® Morsels)
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup powdered sugar
Heat oven to 350°F. Microwave 1 cup chocolate chips in medium microwave-safe bowl on HIGH for 1 minute; stir. Microwave at additional 10 to 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Cool completely.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt in small bowl. Beat sugar, butter and vanilla in large bowl. Beat in melted chocolate. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually add flour mixture. Beat until well mixed (1 to 2 minutes). Stir in remaining chips. Cover; refrigerate just until firm.
Shape dough into 1 1/2-inch balls; roll in powdered sugar. Place onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until sides are set but centers are still slightly soft. Let stand 2 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets.
