Sesame Ginger Beef Stir-Fry

Ingredients

1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic
1 pound beef stir-fry strips
3 cups broccoli florets
1/2 cup sesame ginger stir-fry sauce*
1 (14- to 15-ounce) can baby corn, drained, cut in half

Directions

Melt butter with olive oil in 12-inch skillet until sizzling; add garlic. Cook over medium heat 1 minute. Add beef strips; continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 5-6 minutes or until beef is browned.

Add broccoli, stir-fry sauce and baby corn. Cook, stirring occasionally, 3-4 minutes or until broccoli is crisply tender.

*Substitute your favorite stir-fry sauce. 

Freeze and Cook Later Method: Combine butter with olive oil and garlic in small freezer container. Place beef strips in another freezer container. Place broccoli, stir-fry sauce and baby corn in another freezer container. Place containers into freezer; freeze up to 3 months. To thaw, place containers in refrigerator 24 hours or until thawed. Cook as directed above.

Recipe Tip

Many supermarkets will offer pre-cut beef strips for stir-frying. If they're not available, use a piece of beef top round steak and thinly slice the meat across the grain into bite-sized strips. Partially freezing the meat, about 20 minutes, before cutting will make it easier to slice into thin strips.
