Creamy, eggnog cheesecake tops the rich butter crust of this nutmeg-scented cheesecake bar.
Heat oven to 350°F. Combine 1/3 cup sugar and butter in large bowl. Beat at medium speed until creamy. Add 1 1/2 cups flour and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg; beat at low speed until well mixed. (Mixture will be crumbly.) Press crust mixture onto bottom of ungreased 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake 15-17 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine all filling ingredients except nutmeg in same bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture is creamy.
Spread filling over hot, partially baked crust; sprinkle with 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg. Continue baking 28-33 minutes or until set. Cool completely. Cut into bars with wet knife. Store refrigerated

If you are a cheesecake lover and delight in the rich creamy taste of a glass of delicious eggnog....you are going to LOVE this recipe!!! It's simple and easy to make! Extremely difficult to mess up, unless you forget to set the timer, or something. It's perfect flavoring and texture...as is. I do highly suggest and recommend NOT compromising on the quality of eggnog you use. USE the the "good" stuff!!! I will mention it is a bit tricky to cut, so be patient. It's well worth it! OH...also, if your'e new to making this kind of desert...you'll know it's done if your "wet" knife comes clean after inserting into the center before removing it from the oven. It was well worth the cost of the recipe book JUST for this one recipe! It's become a Christmas tradition in our family. ENJOY!
Great recipe!! And so simple too! These were a hit at home and at the office. These were plenty sweet, and the eggnog doesn't over power the taste. I followed the recipe exactly, and these really are the best the day after!!
I thought that the cheese cake came out more golden than a usual cheese cake. plus there was not enough sweet taste so it tasted more like grilled cheese. I fixed it with caramel sauce to add the needed sweetness. Maybe the recipe should call for one less egg and one more packet of cheese plus more sugar, like a cup of sugar instead of 1/2. =] Thank you.
this has become my families holiday tradition we always use this for christmas we tend to make a triple batch but it is always gone before the next day
This is an fast, easy, and not expensive to make.Almost all the ingredients are what we normally have on hand. I only had to add eggnog and cream cheese to my shopping list.This is a new holiday favorite.
This has become my signature holiday dessert for get-togethers and family functions. The flavor is so unique that even folks who don't like eggnog enjoy them.
when short on time! i have used a 9"graham cracker pie crust. it is excellent anyway you make this cheese cake!!!!!wendy M.
