Key lime bars with a buttery and tangy flavor.
Heat oven to 350°F.
Combine all crust ingredients except pecans in bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in pecans. Press onto bottom of ungreased 8- or 9-inch square baking pan. Bake 15-20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
Combine all filling ingredients in bowl. Beat at low speed until well mixed. Pour filling over hot, partially baked crust. Continue baking 18-20 minutes or until filling is set. Cool completely.
Combine all frosting ingredients except lime zest in bowl. Spread over cooled bars. Garnish with grated lime zest. Store refrigerated.

These are absolutely delicious. I have made them many times and everyone loves them. they are light and fun.
I made these one time because I love key limes and they were a big hit at a family event. Now every time we get together I get a request to make the key lime bars. Been doing this for about 5 years and no one ever gets tired of them!
I am going to make this. I made the key lime pie cookies and OMG! They are to die for! I am not a big key lime pie lover but these cookies were so good!! Can't wait to try these!
I majorly changed this recipe to make it better. I made the crust but left out the nuts. I doubled the filling ingredients but used lemon juice instead of the key lime juice. I used lemon juice in the frosting and left the measurements the same. I then put this in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Same great recipe with better proportions. Everyone always loves it because it packs a wang! Will be making these bars for my daughter's graduation party.
I made these for my dad's birthday since he loves Key Lime Pie. He loved them and everyone else gave them great reviews. I'm not even the biggest fan of Key Lime, but they were fantastic. Definitely a summer treat that will be made again. No alterations to the recipe and it was perfect.
An update on my last post. The cake auction this year, they went for $150.00!!!!
I have made these Key Lime Bars several times, basically because if I didn't I would loose friends. Everyone loves this desert and it is requested often. I have even made them for a cake auction and made $80.00 for the charity. A must do.
they were ok. I like lemon squares better.
My friend made this recipe, she didn't have the nuts that call for so instead she add almonds, it was AMAZING! That's what make me come to this website to look for the recipe.
