Kelly's Favorite Spritz Cookies

Spritz cookies from Kelly Ripa--buttery and easy to make with a cookie press.

Ingredients

1 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

Directions

Heat oven to 400°F. Combine all ingredients except flour in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Add flour; beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.

Place dough in cookie press fitted with desired template; form cookies 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 6-8 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.

Recipe Tip

If cookies spread; refrigerate dough until firm. Bake as directed above.

I make this recipe every Christmas. I love it. I add alittle almond extract also to give it a different flavor!! Love me some Kelly Ripa cookies all the time!!
I cut this recipe from a magazine years ago and made them EVERY Christmas. Then the recipe disappeared! Hooray--found it! The best spritz cookies EVER- and so easy and never fail!
Loved this recipie. The dough wasn't sticky and came out of the press easily. Cookies were also buttery and flaky. Yummy.
I like this recipe better then the one that came in my Spritz cookie press kit. Make a double batch, they go quick!
I have tried Spritz cookies before and I am a big fan of them, however, I found this recipe to taste extremely buttery and very bland. I will definitely use a different recipe next year.
Excellent recipe! Last year I couldn't find my mom's butter cookie recipe that has been handed down for generations so I checked online for a similar one. I came across this one and realized it was the same EXACT recipe that our family has used for years! Make sure you use real butter in these. They taste like Christmas to me!
